Slava’s Snowshow
It will be snowing in Miami from July 24 to August 17. That’s when Slava's Snowshow will be in town to dazzle the crowds with amazing special effects and an electrifying theatrical show. A cross between Cirque du Soleil and Blue Man Group, this very cool show features Slava, the clown genius from Cirque du Soleil, in a spectacle full of wondrous images, delightful comedy, haunting music and snow—lots and lots of snow.

Design District Restaurants
Good eats are plentiful these days in the Design District. Mediterranean-inspired Brosia offers a diferent (and delicious) burger for each day of the week. Domo Japones, located in the former 20s-era Buena Vista Post office, offers late-night bites and interesting cocktails like Wasabi Mint Julep. Pacific Time, a 15-year Miami restaurant, is relocating from its former home on Lincoln Road to the District with plans to open this summer. Local faves include Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink, Sheba Ethiopian Restaurant and W Wine Bistro.

Mangos A-Go Go

International Mango Festival - July 12-13
It’s that time of year again in Miami. The 16th annual International Mango Festival at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden presents the biggest collection of mangos in the country. Come and sample juicy mangos, buy a mango tree for your garden or condo, or marvel at the sheer variety of mangos around the world. This year, the festival is highlighting “Mangos of Africa”, with photos, samples and illustrations of mangos that grow from the majestic Nile to the north and Cape Town to the south.
