Grape Excitement

Wine Tasting at Alliance Francaise – February 29
Celebrate Mardi Gras on Leap Year Friday – that’s February 29th - with wines from France and Spain. This wine tasting class (presented in English) will offer some really nice reds (Guigal Cotes du Rhone 2004, France) and some really nice whites, too (Torres Vina Esmeralda 2006, Spain), with a Spanish sherry thrown in for ‘dessert’. Historic Glimpses

Dade Heritage Days - March 1 – April 30
This annual month-long tour of historic homes will satisfy the “nosy neighbor” in everyone. This year’s theme is Green Spaces & Historic Places. Dade Heritage Trust works hard to preserve and protect the many unique architectural gems scattered throughout Miami Dade County, including the Cape Florida Lighthouse, a huge, seven-year project that completely restored the 1825 lighthouse on Key Biscayne. The Trust in an excellent resource for books about Miami’s historic neighborhoods, local tours of historic sites and much more. Pink Martini with the Miami Pops Orchestra – March 21
Pink Martini's intoxicating sound has been heard at events ranging from the Cannes Film Festival to the opening party of the New York Museum of Modern Art.
