Sleepless Night
Grab some Cuban coffee and head over to Miami Beach for a free 13-hour arts showcase (6 p.m. to 6 a.m., plus one more hour thanks to the Daylight Savings Time change). Music, dance, theater, fashion shows and more will be happening at four separate activity zones in North Beach, Collins Park, Lincoln Road and Ocean Drive. You can even catch a sneak peek of Absinthe, Spiegelworld's other-worldly theatrical event, which starts Dec. 20 at Collins Park on Miami Beach. Free pubic transportation will take you from place to place during the most exciting 'Sleepless Night' of the year. Don’t miss it. 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Cross Stitch Station
Looking for a new hobby? Want to make some hand-made gifts this holiday season? Head for Cross Stitch Station, a small shop filled to the brim with cross stitch and needle art supplies. Fabric, cross stitch kits, embroidery thread, books and whimsical pin cushions are just a 'sampler' (no pun intended) of what you’ll find here. Cross Stitch Station even has kits with the University of Miami icon, Sebastian the Ibis. What ‘Canes fan wouldn’t apprciate that as a stocking stuffer? Art in the Heart of the Grove
Stop by Heart of the Grove art gallery and gift shop Nov. 9-11 and help them celebrate their one year anniversary. Work by local artists includes paintings, watercolors, drawings, sculpture, ceramics, glasswork, jewelry and woodwork. On Friday, Nov. 9, stop by the Artists’ Open House from 6 to 9 p.m. and sip a glass of wine in the beautiful courtyard while enjoying the art displays.
